From a young age, Annamarie Buonocore gravitated to elders in her community. She cherishes the stories of her grandparents and other relatives and keeps them in mind with everything she does, realizing that everybody has a story. Her love for elders inspired her to join Senior Care Authority in 2018 as the area owner for the San Francisco Peninsula. Her territory is from San Francisco to Palo Alto and includes the coastal back count as well.
In 2017, Annamarie lost her grandfather to Alzheimer’s Disease. She is well versed in the process of finding care and residential living solutions and feels that no one should be alone through that process. She remembers her grandfather trying to live in the past and the worry his wandering caused for other family members. She also remembers how it was difficult for her uncle to handle the process of seeking care while holding a full-time job.
Annamarie is here to consult and help with paperwork, touring of facilities, rent negotiations, and other parts of the often-challenging placement process. She has helped dozens of families over the last couple of years and has consulted on issues such as taking pets to assisted living or overcoming resistance from a parent to seek help. Annamarie enjoys what she does and is thrilled when a senior finds a new happy home.
Annamarie comes from a diverse background of publishing, sales, and marketing. She is also a Toastmaster and is involved with the Greek Orthodox Church. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her two dogs, Pericles and Sophocles.
SENIOR CARE AUTHORITY COMPANY HISTORY
Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.
In 2014, the model was franchised and Senior Care Authority® is now a national company with offices throughout the US and Canada. As part of their expansion, they partnered with an eldercare consulting practice who brought another set of senior care services and skills to the company, a great differentiator for Senior Care Authority.
